Dear Loved Ones, We are so glad to be a part of the family of God!! Thank you family for surrounding us with your love. Thank you God for your people that have been so kind and thoughtful!! May we continue to share God's love together! So, I'd like to share some things that are going on here. The girls and I are still at Dad and Mom's house, which is a tremendous blessing. We have set up the arrangements for the service. We have gone shopping together...creating new memories. We even took Dad to a resturant he'd never been to...can you believe it?? We also had to do some of the most difficult things ever. Like pick out what Mom would be wearing, choose songs, choose scripture, pick out a casket, and "land". But, even in the toughest times we are still joyful because Mom was a Godly woman and she is at the feet of Jesus. We hope that the next couple of days are used to reflect on the life that Mom lived and the impact that she has made on so many. We hope that as we gather together to celebrate her life of serving others, that we all share those memories so we can learn from her example. We love you all!! Dad, Kurt, and Jenn

How difficult this week is for you...I am so sorry for your loss but SO JOYFULL to have even been blessed by knowing Debbie! Sherm's messages on Heaven have been GOD INSPIRED and could not have come at a better time for all of us as we face, with you, the loss of a wonderful Christian SERVANT, DAUGHTER, GRAND-DAUGHTER, SISTER, WIFE, MOTHER, GRANDMOTHER, TEACHER AND SISTER IN CHRIST! Oh that we shall all carry with us for years to come...her zest and zeal for the teachings of Jesus, her true love and dependance on God's word, her committment to serve others (THAT WAS ALL OF US!!!) her love of home and family!
ReplyDeleteGod be with your hearts and minds the remainder of this week...blessing you, comforting you and bring you HIS PEACE THAT PASSES ALL UNDERSTANDING!!
LOVE YOU ALL!

Thanks Jenn. For so many days I have gotten use to checking in on your Mom's blog, and anticipating new reports, to check and see a "note" is comforting. We are so thankful that you get to be with your Dad and be there in these "difficult" decisions, and yet to enjoy some "new" things also! Too quickly, your life will move into doing the "routine" things again, but not being "routine" because someone is missing! May you treasure these times with your Dad and the girls and Kurt. As you walk through the coming days and weeks, may you draw strength from family, friends, songs, and God's word as you adjust to living life without your dear friend and mother. We Love you all!
ReplyDeleteThank you Jenn for the post. You and your family are throughout the day in our thoughts and prayers. Travis & I SO would like to be there Friday to celebrate your Mom's life and challenge ourselves to step it UP! Unfortunately, we won't be there in body, but will definitely be praying for all that gather. May our Father give you strength for each day!Love, Dayla
