Hello! Had some lab work done today just to check the white cell count. They will check them 10 days after every chemo treatment to make sure there's enough of them. The little bitty blood test today took so long I was beginning to think they might make me count them by hand!!! The white cells are the things that fight infections and if you don't have enough of them you are more susceptible to "things". If they're low, Madison will call and we'll take precautions (enter BleachMan!!); if they're fine, we party!

No hair loss to speak of yet...I keep wondering with every hair that falls out if this is it...like will my hair unravel...one hair lost and the rest get scared & jump ship? No, I don't think so...but you gotta wonder.

Don & I are both on the mend...his coughing has calmed way down and my sore throat is on the way out. Looking forward to a full weekend starting with City Market on Friday (our son-in-law will be displaying his artwork & photography there each week throughout the summer). Have a great weekend...

Bless the Lord, oh my soul...and all that is within me, bless His holy name!

Love,
Don & Deb

Ok I know this is serious serious stuff you are dealing with but your upbeat and funny comments, i.e. your hair unraveling, make me chuckle thoughout the day and when I do it is a reminder to lift you up in prayer. We love you and please consider you and Don both hugged tightly.

  3. How was the market? Cindy and Kori were excited about going to it and seeing Kurt's booth.

Deb I am so thankful for you and Don and the stories that you bring with what is going on. You wrote this on thursday so I am praying that you are well now with the coughing and sore throat things gone. I pray that you are being blessed today by the comfort of our Lord Jesus Christ. I am reading chapter 6 of Daniel this morning and it reminds me of what you are facing and how God is protecting you. It is the story of Daniel being thrown into the lions den and the mouths of the lions being shut. Let's just say that the den is the world that the cancer has surrounded you with, doctor visits, treatments, staying at home to rest after treatments the world that cancer has created for you. I think you get my point and the cancer is the lions. The lions can't harm you because your faith in God supercedes the threat of the lions. You are protected by God. God gave me this this morning to share with you. I love you my friend and of course you are in my prayers.
