Oh Dear Loved Ones,
We come to you this morning with news we don't like. Yesterday, Dr. Lowery shared with us that he was unable to get the stints into Mom's kidneys. He said that during the procedure, he observed very advanced cancer growth, in fact the most he has ever seen. He wept with us as he shared that there is nothing else that can be done except to keep Mom as comfortable as possible. He was unsure of time, but he suggested days maybe weeks. Dad did share that news with Mom shortly after and you could see it in her eyes that she knows.
We just want to say thank you for being with us this year and in the days to come!! Pray for comfort and peace.
Love, Kurt and Jenn

  1. You and your Mom and Dad are constantly on our mind and in our prayers. We are heart broken by the pain and suffering. We love you dearly and continue to pray for the peace and comfort that can only come from our Heavenly Father who so passionately loves us. Thank you for your constant updates...though I can't imagine the difficulty you must have in writing them. We are sorry we cannot be there to support you better...then again, our prayers are more effective than our hugs (praise God).

    Love Brian & Christine Beck

Thank goodness God's hugs are stronger and more comforting than any we can offer (although if I were there, I'd give you all hugs too). Praying for His peace and comfort...

  6. Jen I cannot begin to tell you how much your Mom and Dad have been that soft spoken comfort in times of great need. I wish I had a smidgen of that grace. Please tell her for me that I love her and she means so much to me that I can't begin to express it. Chinese food seems so meaningless compared to the talks that we had while we enjoyed it. You all are just amazing. My God comfort you all during this time.

  8. Sometimes we wonder and question "why" and we may never know the answer in this lifetime but we do know that God used Deb and Don in this last year especially to teach us about His ever present love and faithfulness. He is with you now and holding you all close. Please tell Deb we love her and will see her again and Larry says, "Let it snow". In my minds eye I see the angels holding her hands as she fly's through soft white snowflakes giggling all the way to Glory. We love you all and pray for peace and comfort. Pat and Larry
