Hello,
Here's the report: Mom is continuing to keep food down, sit up for very short periods of time, visit with folks for really short moments, she still has some pain, and is most comfortable in bed. Dad is able to get out to work (not that he really wants to...he would rather be with mom...even it's just to close his eyes and take a nap) with the help of wonderful people willing to just sit at the house. Funny things: They received a phone call from Williard and Janice (dear friends that live 1/2 the year in Minnesota and the other 1/2 in Texas) the other day. Janice told mom that it was warm and 70 degrees. Mom replied with oooh that's nice, thinking that was unsually warm for this time of year in north. The next call was from Beverly (dear cousin in Minnesota). Then it clicked that Williard and Janice were calling from Texas, not northern Minnesota!! Mom thought this was pretty funny!!
Even though it seems right now that mom is stable and doing well, there are still ups and downs (as those of you who have gone through storms like this know). So, I would like to share the words to one of Mia, 1st grader's favorite songs!!

"You Never Let Go"
(originally by Matt Redman)

Even though I walk through the
Valley of the shadow of death
Your perfect love is casting out fear
And even when I'm caught in the
Middle of the storms of this life
I won't turn back
I know you are near

And I will fear no evil
For my God is with me
And if my God is with me
Whom then shall I fear?
Whom then shall I fear?

Oh no, You never let go
Through the calm and through the storm
Oh no, You never let go
In every high and every low
Oh no, You never let go
Lord, You never let go of me

And I can see a light that is coming
For the heart that holds on
A glorious light beyond all compare
And there will be an end to these troubles
But until that day comes
We'll live to know You here on the earth

And I will fear no evil
For my God is with me
And if my God is with me
Whom then shall I fear?
Whom then shall I fear?

Oh no, You never let go
Through the calm and through the storm
Oh no, You never let go
In every high and every low
Oh no, You never let go
Lord, You never let go of me
You keep on lovin and you
Never let go

Singin
Oh no, You never let go
Through the calm and through the storm
Oh no, You never let go
In every high and every low
Oh no, You never let go
Lord, You never let go of me

Yes, I can see a light that is coming
For the heart that holds on
And there will be an end to these troubles
But until that day comes
Still I will praise You, still I will praise You

Yes, I can see a light that is coming
For the heart that holds on
And there will be an end to these troubles
But until that day comes
Still I will praise You, still I will praise You

Oh no, You never let go
Through the calm and through the storm
Oh no, You never let go
In every high and every low
Oh no, You never let go
Lord, You never let go of me

Oh no, You never let go
Through the calm and through the storm
Oh no, You never let go
In every high and every low
Oh no, You never let go
Lord, You never let go of me
